Infrastructure with no single point of control.
Qortal is a decentralized platform with a blockchain at its core. The project describes itself as open source and as built, run and funded by its community, with no company on top of it. The network belongs to no single organization, Tree of Life included.
Within Tree of Life Biotechnology, Qortal is explored as a foundational layer for secure data integrity, decentralized identity and tamper-resistant information systems supporting carbon markets, research provenance and cross-border collaboration.
The focus is not speculative finance, but infrastructure resilience, transparency and long-term data sovereignty.
Who it is for, what goes in, what comes out.
The intended shape of the use-cases under development. It is not a description of a deployed system.
Parties who must trust one record
Carbon market participants, research institutions and partners working across borders.
Records that have to stay trustworthy
Carbon market data, research results and their provenance, and documents shared between organizations.
A record anyone can check
Information held with no single point of control, so that changes cannot be made quietly.
How the layers fit.
Peer-to-peer nodes. No central servers, intermediaries or single points of control.
What is live, and what is not yet.
The Qortal network
The network is public and its code is open source. It is developed and run by its own community.
Tree of Life's integration use-cases
No pilot or reference deployment is published yet. Evidence will be added here as use-cases are validated.
The same five steps as every Tree of Life program.
Status of this program: live ecosystem, integration use-cases under development. Not every program is commercial at once. Each is advanced on its own technical and regulatory merits.
- Step 01Define the problemProblem definition grounded in operational constraints.
- Step 02DesignPhysics- and materials-based design.
- Step 03Bench testBench testing and controlled validation.
- Step 04PilotPilot deployment under real conditions.
- Step 05CommercializeCommercialization only where performance is defensible.
What this page does not claim
- Nothing on this page is an offer or a recommendation to buy any digital asset.
- It does not present a deployed Tree of Life system. The integration use-cases are under development.
- It does not claim that Tree of Life owns or controls the Qortal network.
